PRESENTATION OF AWARDS, RECOGNITIONS AND INTRODUCTIONS

a.      Recognition of Water Awareness Poster Winner

 

A representative of the Municipal Water District of Orange County (MWDOC) and the El Toro Water District (ETWD) Board of Directors will recognize Jewell Peoples, Honorable Mention, of the “Water is Life” annual poster and slogan contest.  Ms. Peoples attends Gates Elementary School and is in Ms. DeLaGarza 5th grade class.

 

As part of Water Awareness month, each year the Municipal Water District of Orange County (MWDOC) and its member agencies sponsors a "Water is Life" poster and slogan contest promoting their ideas of wise water use.  The contest is open to all Orange County students, grades kindergarten through 6th grade.

 

The winning slogans and posters are highlighted in a school-year calendar that is delivered to all Orange County classrooms.

Staff will comment on ETWD's proposed Budget for fiscal year 2004/05 for the 2004/05 fiscal years, which are set forth in Resolution No. 04-5-2.

 

Recommended Action:  The Board will consider adopting Resolution No. 04-5-2, which Resolution adopts the District's 2004/2005 Budget for the 2004/05 fiscal year.
